Tuuri Train Station is located near many family-friendly attractions in the Western Finland. It is a 2 hour drive from Tampere and a 3.5 hour drive from Helsinki. When you come here you will first smell the fresh air, see the blue sky, and breath the serenity of the beautiful countryside. After you have charged your batteries, it is time for some fun. Wilderness starts at our back door; trekking, rowing and swimming in the lakes nearby or birdwatching at Lake Ponnejärvi’s  bird watch tower.

VillageShop “Keskinen”, our neighbour, is Finland’s largest department store located in their heart of Tuuri. There is always something going on besides the great shopping. Summers in the village shop are magical with a Muumi playground, minigolf as well as Tivoli playground which is free for kids under 13 years. Distance from station: 500 metres.

Ähtäri Zoo is the second largest zoo in Finland with over 60 different species, including two giant pandas from China, Hua Bao (Pyry) and Jin BaoBao (Lumi) Keep your eyes open on the way as you might see a bear or moose roaming around in the wild. You can also enjoy a scenic walk and picnic at Lake Ähtäri located behind Hotelli Mesikämmen. Distance from station: 25 kilometres.

Seikkailupuisto Huikia in Tuuri is a rope adventure park for adults and children. Harnesses are safe for children because of their safe hole system which does not have to be opened and closed during climbing. Distance from station: 1.4 kilometres.

KartRing International is a quality karting track. Distance from station: 5 kilometres.

Kuortane Olympic Training Center offers instructed courses, sports try-outs and sports camps for adults and children, games, swimming, bowling and rowing in the lake. Daycare is available for children under 3 years of age. There is also new activity park, Sports Fun, which has more than 30 different kinds of equipment, slides and trampolines. Distance from station: 33 kilometres.

Kaatialan louhos (quarry) in Kuortane is an ideal and unique place for diving. Distance from station: 20 kilometres.

Duudsonit Activity Park in Seinäjoki is an activity park with jumping on gigantic trampolines into a pool of foam, a parkour track, scooter park, pedal cars, ball cannon tracks, climbing area, cable slide, and sports like long jump, giant football and American baseball. Distance from station: 57 kilometres.

Härmä Spa offers water games, golf, spa and massage treatments, swimming pool, sauna, music, restaurants, and much more. Distance from station: 93 kilometres.

PowerPark Amusement Park is home to an outdoor go-kart track as well as Europe’s biggest indoor karting track, a wooden roller coast called Thunderbird, 20 other rides for smaller children, a 60 square metre, 5D screen at PowerPark’s Magnum theatre, and the Equine Centre which has six Icelandic horses to ride.
